It Will Not Fail

While our message has not changed that much over the years, private correspondence indicates some have still failed to absorb the wider biblical viewpoint. There’s too much not seeing the forest for the trees. People are learning the details, but not getting the bigger picture.

You may recall two passages where God discusses with His staff how they handle certain things. One is the opening and close of Job, where Satan and God palaver over the methods of Job’s testing. Another is where God consults His Divine Council about how to tempt a king to do something stupid. In each case, the authority for wrath and sorrow is God’s, but the executor is someone else. The relationship between God and Satan is not so black-n-white as most Americans imagine.

Satan is the primary agent of God’s wrath; he is God’s Black Hat, the left-hand of divine authority. The Devil is the ranking overseer of how wrath falls, even when specific tasks are delegated to other divine staff. The Devil sets policy and regulations according to God’s wishes. Having such an assignment is punishment in itself, but the Devil is faithful. His rebellion is limited; he knows his limits.

As far as you and I are concerned, the only limits that really matter are those arising from the Covenant of Christ. There is a broadly false mythology about the nature of that covenant among church folks. This problem forms the bulk of my writing up to now under this persona. Most people tend to view all things through the lens of democratic government, when Scripture says it is feudal. Moreover, the proper perspective is Ancient Near Eastern feudalism.

Western Civilization arose from a rejection of that biblical outlook, rooted in a broad mixture of pagan backgrounds from Greco-Roman Civilization and the Germanic tribal culture. The apex of western cultural development was the Enlightenment. It claims reason, but it’s filtered through the pagan assumptions about reality. Modern evangelical thinking is deeply rooted in the Enlightenment, through which lens the Bible is read.

America cannot choose to embrace some limited selection of the Covenant, as if it were a buffet. You are in or out, as Jesus Himself said more than once. When it comes to national government, the appropriate guideline is the Code of Noah, since it still stands as the law code appropriate for governments today. This is not stated anywhere clearly in Scripture, but is part of the Hebraic background of understanding. Thus, the Jerusalem Conference in Acts 15 cites the relevant items from Noah as applicable to Gentiles looking for a code of conduct.

So as a human organization, not a church, the US could have chosen to submit to Christ via Noah. That didn’t happen. Thus, America from the start has been outside the Covenant. America is a pagan nation. It is under one or more members of the Divine Council in alliance with Satan. It started out that. At no point has the US ever been a special concern of God. It has always been delegated to the Devil and his friends for management.

Some portion of the US population could have repented under the Covenant up to roughly the time of Obama’s term in office. They could have raised a hedge under the Covenant that would have limited Satan’s options in dealing with the US, but that moment has passed. The window has closed and repentance didn’t happen. Thus, in the standard life cycle of pagan empires, the US is on the way out.

The US does not warrant any special attention from God. There will be no wrath specifically aimed at provoking repentance, nor punishing a member of God’s household. Whatever happens will be the same thing that happens to every other pagan nation in human history, selected from among the range of stuff we’ve already seen in history. From all appearances, it seems the US will simply split up into chunks. This will include a substantial degree of economic collapse simply because the framework will dissolve. The resulting regional coalitions of states will have to rebuild an economic framework to replace the previous system.

It’s quite likely there will be substantial bloodshed leading up to this fracture of the Union of States. However, the primary means of conflict has shifted from armies and turf over to information warfare. That is, data management will be the primary means of deciding what armies do on what turf. It will be wholly depersonalized. Everything will be reckoned in terms of data, not the leadership of people. This will be quite new in human experience.

The focus of global political and economic power will no longer rest on America. It will be a new order that no one can see clearly. There’s no clear prophetic word in detail because God saves that stuff for His Covenant nation. Because His Covenant under Christ is no longer a national covenant, the focus of His prophetic revelation is not about nations and empires, but about His spiritual work in His people. His stated concerns have little to do with human governments, since none of them are under the only applicable covenant – Noah.

Now, we do have some prophetic messages indicating where God’s attention is. I’m just trying to summarize them; we can estimate a couple of things. The modern State of Israel will be clobbered. It never had anything to do with biblical prophecy; it never even tried to qualify as the modern replacement of Old Testament Israel. While the political entity may not go away, its current stranglehold on world attention will end, for a time at least. Because of this, Christian Zionism will take a hit, as well. There is already an exodus of younger generations away from that nonsense.

Finally, AI will turn out to be a complete failure of everyone’s hopes and dreams. It is wholly incapable of anything useful to humans. That will not keep governments from still adopting it as the means to a horrific new level of oppression. AI is just perfect for that. It will be the final terror that began with dehumanizing bureaucracy. Brace yourself for a whole new level of polite insufferable spite.

Can you imagine whole bureaucracies replaced by an algorithm that hallucinates?

All of this is simply part of Satan’s mission to execute God’s wrath on pagan nations. This is what comes from rejecting the Covenant. Of course, our faith says that the Covenant can provide a hedge that will limit what the Devil can do to us. We must paint the blood of Christ on the doorposts of our faith households. God warned that tribulation would affect us, too. As the title to my book warns: We have not yet resisted sin to the point of shedding blood, but we are about to experience that. Jesus said that if they hated Him, it’s only natural they would hate us who follow Him. However, whatever we need to shine His glory will not fail.
