I _think_ I see what you mean, but will keep rolling it around. Dr. Heiser's books and podcasts gave context to my paltry SBC understanding of the Fall, etc., and I am deeply grateful for that.
I think he did the same for many who had "uncomfortable" questions at church and were thereby shunned. I think that's why my brain sees current resistance to the Covenant, is too many folks like the power-trip of shunning, and not so much the hard work of forbearance and patience.
