I've often said that I don't debate. What that really means is that the vast majority of people who want to debate are intellectually dishonest. They aren't willing to dig through the a priori part of their arguments. They want to start somewhere far down the road from the origins, which is rather like demanding that they get to choose the place of battle, and consider their "home ground" sacred and untouchable.
